We are really excited to share that we are entering into a fantastic writer’s competition. This week the children have selected a genre from a choice of four and they have begun to create detailed story maps in order to plan a story based on their chosen front cover and title. We have sent these home with the children to finish and fill in the form at the top; these need to be completed and returned to your child’s class teacher by Friday 8th December so that we can send them off for the competition!
We are really looking forward to the upcoming events for the Christmas period. A red letter was sent home in your child’s book bag this week outlining all of the exciting things we have lined up.
In Maths we have begun to explore division by sharing; can you share different amounts of objects you find at home? Please can you discuss with your children what happens when you try to share an odd number.
In Geography we have been researching and comparing Antarctica to the UK, although the weather at school this week has not been that different!! Please make sure your children have a suitable coat for the cold weather.
