This has really engaged the children, encouraging lots of fantastic writing as we wrote letters to a pirate, created wanted posters, added signs to our models and labelled our maps. The children have also been counting lots of pirate treasure, sorting coins and gems and weighing rubies and crystals.
Last Friday, Beech Class was the first Reception class to visit the local library. They even managed to borrow some pirate story books which we have all enjoyed sharing during story time.
