Y1 trip to Himalayan Gardens
March 26 @ 8:45 am - 3:10 pm
The children in Year One will be making an exciting educational visit to Riverhill Himalayan Gardens in Sevenoaks, on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
On this day, we are fortunate that our Year One children will be the only visitors to the gardens, as they will be closed to the public. The children will be exploring the different types of gardens, woodlands, maze and view point and there will also be an opportunity to build dens in the woodlands. There will be a guided tour of the gardens to discover some of their more famous and unusual plants and trees.
The coaches will leave school promptly so please can we ask you to arrive as close to 8.45 as possible. We cannot wait for any late arrivals. We will be returning to school at approximately 3.10pm. Please pick your child up from their classroom. The children will need to wear school uniform, including either a school logo jumper/cardigan/polo top and trainers. The children will also need to bring a waterproof coat in case it rains. If the weather is sunny, they will need to bring a sunhat and please be sure to apply suntan lotion before they arrive at school.
The children do not need to bring a packed lunch as this will be provided by school. This will include a sandwich, biscuit and a piece of fruit. The only thing your child needs to bring is a named bottle of water in a throw away plastic bottle.
The cost of the visit is a voluntary contribution of £17.50 which includes the coach trip, entrance to the gardens, and a Fairy tale imaginings scavenger hunt.
If you are able to help on the day, please let your child’s class teacher know by Monday 11 March. As seats are limited on the coach we will pick names from a hat if there are more helpers than seats available. There will be an entrance charge of £9.00 for any adults who can help on the trip.
Please can you return the permission slip and contribution (cheque or cash – the correct money only please) by Monday 11 March.
