Year 2 Leavers Trip to Shorne Country Park – Thursday 4th July 2019
For the last two years we have taken the Year 2 children on a final trip with the Infant School. We feel that they may never get a chance to have a fun day out with 89 of their friends so we think it’s brilliant to be able to give them the opportunity to do so!
This year we have chosen to take the children to Shorne Country Park on Thursday 4th July 2019.
The day will consist of a short walk around one of the park’s tracks, a visit to the sensory garden, followed by a picnic, games and a chance to explore the adventure playground.
Please could you ensure the children are dressed appropriately for the day as follows:
| · school logo polo shirt | · sun hat (preferably with a school logo but not a necessity) |
| · shorts/joggers (weather dependent) | · appropriate footwear for walking (no flip flops/sandals) |
| · smothered in sun cream | · a lightweight rain jacket |
Your child is to bring their PE bag (which will be sent home prior to Thursday) with a named disposable bottle of water. The children do not need to bring a packed lunch as this will be provided by school. This will include a sandwich, biscuit and a piece of fruit.
The coaches will leave school promptly so please can we ask you to arrive no later than 8.45am. We cannot wait for any late arrivals. We will be returning to school at approximately 3.00pm. Please pick your child up from their classroom as usual. We kindly ask for £7 per child to cover the cost of the coach. We will not be charging any additional amount for adult helpers. If you are able to help on the day, please let your child’s class teacher know by Friday 21st June. As seats are limited on the coach we will pick names from a hat if there are more helpers than seats available.
Please can you return the permission slip and contribution (cheques – made payable to Joydens Wood Infant School or cash – correct money please) by Wednesday 19th June at the latest. You can also pay via ParentMail (www.parentmail.co.uk). Please tick the relevant box on the letter sent home and return the permission slip.
