What a fantastic trip the Year One children had on Thursday! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the children got to view a variety of different species of birds, and we also saw some meerkats! The children watched a bird show which featured a barn owl, a peregrine falcon, eagles and the two naughtiest residents, Mr and Mrs Butthead! We also got up close with the huskies that had been rescued and the children got to stroke them and ask many questions about this beautiful breed. We would like to thank all our parents who helped with this trip as it would not have been possible without your help.

At Home Challenge: Find out all you can about your favourite bird!

In Maths this week we have looked at directions and positioning by moving ourselves and arrows, like the ones we can see on the clock. We have begun to pull out number facts to twenty so keep practising your number bonds at home!

At Home Challenge: Please practise getting the children to either rotate themselves or objects anti-clockwise and clockwise.
