After reading Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper, we have been exploring, drawing, measuring and weighing pumpkins. We have even made our own delicious pumpkin soup! The children enjoyed chopping up a variety of vegetables to add to their soup, before following instructions to heat and blend it. It was really yummy!
This week we have had an exciting visit from teaching staff from Lessness Heath Primary School. They loved hearing about our play based approach and the reasons behind it and were extremely impressed with our learning environment. They specifically commented on how calm the children were and how engrossed both children and adults were in their play. We were thrilled to hear such positive feedback from fellow professionals and look forward to continuing to share our good practice with others.
