As it has been Science Week the children have been engaged in a variety of experiments such as: cleaning up dinosaur wee, creating chemical reactions, blowing bubbles for prints and looking at reactions in different products. The children have learnt and have been using a great deal of scientific vocabulary such as prediction, method, observation, evaluation and reaction.
At Home Task: Can you carry out your own experiment?
In Maths the children have been learning about halves and quarters in practical situations by slicing bread and cakes. We are beginning to look at finding half of a number. We have also continued to look at finding the difference between two numbers.
