We have introduced storytelling circles to the children this week. They have been encouraged to tell stories, which they can then act out in front of the rest of their class alongside their friends. This supports their writing, speaking and listening skills, the development of their imagination and their confidence and has been a great success with all of the children! Some children have even been telling stories at home to parents! If your child tells a story at home with you please feel free to send a copy into school to be shared during our story circle.
We’ve also had our first Stay and Play sessions this week with parents visiting us on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Lots of fun was had by all as our parents joined the children in their play and even shared a favourite story from home at the end of the day!
