Our Marathon Mission
This year Joydens Wood Infant School will be tackling their biggest challenge yet…
Our Headteacher, Miss Hately will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019 for our school’s charity ‘Friends of Joydens Wood Infant School’.
‘Friends of Joydens Wood Infant School’ is a charity that supports the school to raise funds for community projects that benefit all the children’s education. In the current climate schools up and down the country struggle with the daily challenge of running school’s on a diminishing budget. Our small school alone relies heavily on our parental and community contributions to enable our children to have a rich and full learning experience.
Our Mini Marathon
All the children will be running their own ‘marathon’ on Friday 26 April at Hayden Field to help Miss Hately with her final preparation for the big day. The children are invited to wear sporting clothes for the day – they will need a light waterproof jacket, appropriate trainers and a named water bottle.
