To celebrate finishing the story of The Jolly Postman this week, the children have written their own party invitations which have been published in their best handwriting. They have decorated the classroom and held their very own party! They really enjoyed their party and dressed up in their Christmas jumpers to raise money.
Home Challenge: Can you write an invitation for a party!
In Maths the children have been looking at odd and even numbers, learning that even numbers are fair because they can be shared equally and odd are unfair numbers because they cannot be shared.
We have also practised jumping forwards and backwards on a number line for adding and taking away numbers up to twenty.
Home Challenge: To look at odd and even numbers by sharing to see if they are fair or unfair.
In Phonics we have been learning about the split diagraphs, a-e, e-e, i-e and o-e. Please use the phonics homework to underline or highlight these sounds.
