Following our trip from Eagle Heights the children in Year 1 have written fact files about the birds we saw. They considered information including the appearance, habitat, diet and gathered lots of interesting facts about these animals.
At Home Task: We will be moving on to look at the story of Little Red Riding Hood. It would benefit your child to read or listen to this story at home in preparation. Your child might also like to write a description of one of the character.
In Maths the children have looked at balancing equations and looking at different strategies for solving addition facts.
At Home Task: Practise making number bonds for numbers up to 10 (this can be practically or written, for example 6 + 4 = 10, 7 + 3 = 10).
