Our outstanding Year 2s represented the school in our first ever Fast Five Football festival. They competed against different schools and won 4/6 matches! Our top goal scorer TC (you know who you are) scored 7 goals in total, but this wouldn’t have been possible without the excellent team work they all showed! Well done Year 2 we couldn’t be more proud!!!
This week saw the announcement of our Year 2 prefects! Miss Hately is so impressed with the level of maturity, responsibility and resilience that our fantastic Year 2s are showing that we decided to give some of them an official title!
We are really pleased with how well the Reception children have settled into school life and they are enjoying staying all day now. They are already demonstrating high levels of independence and engagement during self-chosen activities and are keen to learn in the different rooms and in the garden.
Over the forthcoming weeks we will be adding photographs and recipes of the delicious meals we cook at school, so please keep checking our blog!
We are continuing to discover more about the Great Fire of London and would appreciate any donations of boxes, clean yogurt pots, bottle lids, plastic bottles, cereal boxes, kitchen role tubes so we can begin our junk modelling of London.
We have been extremely impressed with the mature attitude of all of the children in their first few weeks as Year 2s! They are resilient, responsible, respectful and are acting as excellent role models to our new EYFS children. Well done Year 2, you truly are so grown up now!
Our Reception children have settled into their full days at school with smiley faces and motivated attitudes to learning. Lunch times are running smoothly for our children and we’re seeing an increasing number of empty plates! Now that our children are full time we would like to share our approach with you in more detail.
We know it is a daunting time for you as parents leaving your children at school for the first time, but we want to reassure you that we will nurture and take care of your children.
This year our Catering Team have officially joined our team, giving us the freedom to design our menus to be the most delicious yet!
We are so excited for the start of the new year! There have been so many fantastic changes to the classrooms and outside area, we can not wait to see the children explore these!
