Y1 Trip to Chatham Historic Dockyard

Chatham Dockyard – Tuesday 2nd July 2019
The children in Year 1 will be making an exciting educational visit to Chatham Dockyard on Tuesday 2nd July 2019.
The coaches will leave school promptly so please can we ask you to arrive at 8.45am. We are unable to wait for any late arrivals. We will be returning to school at approximately 3.10pm. Please pick your child up from their classroom as normal. The children will need to wear a school top (either a school logo jumper/cardigan/polo top) and jogging bottoms and trainers (welly boots if wet). The children will need to bring a waterproof coat in case it rains. If the weather is sunny, they will need to bring a sunhat. Please apply sunscreen at home.
The children do not need to bring a packed lunch as this will be provided by school. This will include a sandwich, flapjack and a piece of fruit. The only thing your child needs to bring is a named bottle of water.
The cost of the visit is a voluntary contribution of £17.00 which includes the coach trip, entrance to the Chatham Dockyard and all the activity sessions.
If you are able to help on the day, please let your child’s class teacher know as soon as possible. As seats are limited on the coach we will pick names from a hat if there are more helpers than seats available. There is an additional charge of £6 per adult to enter.
Please can you return the permission slip and contribution (cheques – made payable to Joydens Wood Infant School or cash – correct money please) by Wednesday 19th June at the latest. You can also pay via ParentMail (www.parentmail.co.uk). Please tick the relevant box on the letter sent home in book bags and return the permission slip.
